With over 40 years of experience, and a diploma in Illustration from Bristol Polytechnic, Bill has worked in the scratchboard (also known as scraper-board) medium, for a wide array of clients. The diversity in his subject matter is largely due to the ability to have launched directly into the industry following his education. Normally a medium that was mostly sought-after by advertising agencies, Bill was able to expand on his portfolio with the patronage of a handful of editorial art editors.
The variety of assignments’ requirements coming in to Bill, as well as the availability of color to publications in the 1970s, gave Bill the opportunity to branch out and use color in his what is normally a black-and-white medium.
Bill currently resides in, and works out of, Bristol, England.
